Iftar Dinner

Faize Hakimi, Karachi, on September 13, 2008 hosted an Iftar Dinner at the imposing garden of Burhani Mehal, McIever Road, the highly revered Karcahi residence of His Holiness Dr. Syedna Mohammad Burhanuddin Saheb TUS.  The Chief Minister Of Sindh, Minister Of Auqaaf, Government Officials, Diplomats, Senior Judges, Vice Chancellor of Karachi University, Notables from business community and other prominent social & political figures attended the Dinner.

The Chief Minister of Sindh, Honorable Syed Qasim Ali Shah had kindly accepted to be the Chief Guest at the occasion and Honarable Mr. Abdul Haseeb Minister for Auqaaf joined as the special representative of Governor of Sindh.  

Janab Shabbir Bhai Saheb Nomani, Janab Mustansir Bhai Saheb Mohyuddin & Janab Naeem Bhai Saheb Mohyuddin accompanied the dignitaries at the Head Table. The other dignitaries at the Head Table included Counsel Generals of USA, Yemen & Afghanistan, Deputy Counsel General of Iran etc.

With Sh. Taha Bhai Jalebiwala at the steering, proceedings of the party started with Tilawate Quraane Majeed. Naate Rasoolullah SAW was offered by prominent Naat Gou of Pakistan Qari Waheed Zafar Qasmi. Welcome Speech was delivered by President of Faize Hakimi Karachi, Janab Shabbir Bhai Sahib Nomani followed by a buoyant but message rich Poem by Vice President of Faize Hakimi Karachi, Sheikh Mohammad Bhai Zoomkawala and Speech by Honorable Chief Guest.

After the ceremonial speeches, the Dinner was served. Dignitaries were served at the Head table, whereas other distinguished guests were escorted to the Buffet Tables. 

Post dinner proceedings included formal & informal introductions of the dignitaries, and presentation of Al-Quraan to the Chief Guest, Deputy Counsel General of Iran & Counsel General of Afghanistan by Janab Shabbir Bhai Saheb Nomani. The Counsel General of USA admitted her deep emotional experience when the Naat of Rasooullah SAW was being delivered.
