Karachi Dawoodi Bohra Jamaat Hosts Iftaar Dinner

The President Janab Shabbir Bhaisaheb Nomani and Trustees of Karachi Dawoodi Bohra Jamaat (Faiz-e-Hakimi) hosted an Iftaar Dinner at Burhani Mahal in honour of Mr. Mohammed Mian Soomro, Chairman Senate of Pakistan, Mr Peerzada Qasim Raza Siddiqui, Vice Chancellor University of Karachi, distinguished dignitaries, eminent consul generals of various countries and community members.

Janab Shabbir Bhaisaheb Nomani welcomed the chief guest and the dignitaries saying that their brotherhood and love had brought them together in this holy month of Ramadhan. With reference to the teaching of Holy Quran, Aa-Hadees and the guidance of His Holiness Dr. Syedna Taher Saifuddin Saheb AQ and his successor Syedna Mohammed Burhanuddin Saheb TUS, he emphasized and highlighted the spiritual essence of friendship and solidarity one should follow. He further appreciated the various visionary steps taken by the government to enhance and augment the live of the citizens and prayed for the well being of the entire nation and its native.

Speaking on the occasion Mr. Peerzada Qasim Raza Siddiqui said, "I had the opportunity to meet his Holiness Dr. Syedna Mohammed Burhanuddin Saheb TUS on a personal level and for sure it has been a lifetime experience for me". He further said that Syedna's vision to launch the Department of Genetics at the University of Karachi speaks his supremacy and excellence for knowledge.

Following the Vice Chancellor's speech, Mr Mohammed Mian Soomro thanked the President and the Trustees of Karachi Dawoodi Bohra Jamaat for organizing such a wonderful evening of grandeur. He said that the Genetics Department being formed by Syedna Saheb at the University of karachi is for sure a worthy asset for all of us, as it will open new vistas of research and development in the country. While concluding he praised the Dawoodi Bohra Community for being socially well-organized and staunch observers of the norms of the country.

The evening ended on a friendly note and dinner was served in an amiable environment to the illustrious invitees.
