ISLAMABAD
: The spiritual leader of the Dawoodi Bohra
Jamaat, His Holiness Dr Syedna Muhammad Burhanuddin
(TUS), will arrive here on Saturday, May 22, 2004 after
10 years. The Dawoodi Bohras from all over Pakistan
will congregate to welcome their spiritual leader, who
has been accorded the status of state guest of the Government
of Pakistan.
Dr Syedna Muhammad Burhanuddin (TUS) was born on 6th
March 1915. He was 50-years-old when he took charge
as the 52nd Dai-ul-Mutlaq after the sad demise of his
illustrious father, Syedna Taher Saifuddin.
Since the time that Dr. Burhanuddin (TUS) has been
entrusted with the responsibility of being the 52nd
Dai-ul-Mutlaq, he has relentlessly and selflessly, for
the last 40 years, through intercession, wise guidance
and deep erudition, guided his followers towards their
spiritual, moral, cultural and social upliftment.
It is solely due to his unceasing benevolence and
teachings that Dawoodi Bohras today are not only proud
of being exemplary citizens who contribute to the economy
of their country but also are an interest free business
community and operate Qarzan Hasana for the economic
prosperity of the community at large.
The most significant achievement of Syedna Muhammad
Burhanuddin's majestic reign is the construction of
more than 300 mosques all over the world where Dawoodi
Bohras are residing. In addition to this is the construction
and restoration of shrines and sepulchers. A revival
of Fatemid architecture has also been the hallmark of
Syedna Muhammad Burhanuddin's era.
His Holiness Syedna Muhammad Burhanuddin has known
no respite in his travels as he continues his mission
even at the age of 93 years, shaping and touching the
lives of thousands of his followers throughout the world.
His travels are solely to bestow sermons and blessings
to strengthen the beliefs which serve as a constant
reminder that in life, ’Deen’ and ‘Duniya’
must coexist and be governed by Islamic philosophy.
His Holiness Dr Syedna Muhammad Burhanuddin (TUS)
is a born leader, a symbol of piety, an unparalleled
Islamic scholar, a pillar of peace, a tireless and selfless
worker, an accomplished writer, an ocean of knowledge
and above all an illustrious philanthropist. In short,
a unique personification of Islam and all that is good
and noble. It is seldom that one comes across a person
who is an unparalleled aggregate of a multitude of qualities. |
